Alfred Morris Marshall, Jr. was born on July 8, 1980 to the union of Dagna E. Long and Alfred M. Marshall, Sr. in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the oldest of five children. At an early age, he professed his life to Christ.
Alfred was best known to family and friends as "Li'l Al" or "Gator". He received his education in the St. Louis City, Normandy and Wellston School Districts. He worked in the hotel/restaurant industry as a cook. His employers spoke highly of his hard work ethic and bright spirit. Alfred's greatest life accomplishment was the birth of his only beloved daughter, Alyssa.
Alfred "Gator" Marshall departed this life on July 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dagna E. Long Myles, Katherine and Alfred Marshall, and George McGee.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother ~ Dagna "Liz" Long; father ~ Alfred "Fella" Marshall; stepfather ~ Timothy "Skip" McGee; grandmother ~ Ressie McGee; daughter ~ Alyssa Marshall; sisters ~ Shanika McGee, Tanika McGee, Sariha Marshall and Lacreda Burgess; brothers ~ Yves Marshall (Sheinell) and Mark McGee; nieces ~ Alayiah, Jameria, Zoey and Zarriah; nephews ~ Zavion, Anthony, Yves, Jr., Y'Monte and ZyiAnthoni; a devoted companion ~ Jemika Evans; special cousins ~ Marcus Marshall and Darryl Davis, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
