Life Reflection ~

Carl Fredrick Tabb, Jr. burst into this world full of joy and happiness on December 18, 1984. Carl was the first born child of Carl Fredrick Tabb, Sr. and Sharon Orelia (Shepard) Tabb. His father, Carl Fredrick Tabb, Sr., preceded him in death. His maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florestine (Shepard) Jones, and paternal grandparents, Mother Shirley (Tabb) Keyes and Bishop David E. Tabb, Sr., also preceded him in death.

Carl received his education in the St. Louis County School System. He achieved his G.E.D and was employed at one point as a general contractor, which we soon learned was not his forté. He also worked as a sales representative, but his desire was to become an entrepreneur. Carl was a very happy and energetic child of which these characteristics spilled over into his adulthood. He was a kind, gentle, loving and easyspirited young man who learned very early what the value of a dollar was.

Carl was an overly protective big brother to his sister, Sherion, and his brother, David. He was also a loving and doting uncle to his only nephew, David Tabb, Jr. When it came to his mother, Sharon, say no more!!! She was his rock, confidant and the first love of his life.

Carl was known for enjoying the finer things in life, from a well-done porterhouse to his designer attire. Carl took pride in his appearance, a trait he inherited from his dad, Carl Tabb, Sr. and his grandmother, Shirley (Bee) Keyes. Carl could not cook, but would occasionally test his culinary skills in the kitchen. His sister said "he was learning/ trying" when he decided to cook his favorite Sunday dinner of roast and potatoes, mac and cheese, with broccoli on the side - and to our surprise, it was delicious.

Carl started going to church when he was a young child and learned the value of having a personal relationship with Christ. He accepted Christ as his savior and knew to call on the Lord in his time of need and to thank Him for all of his many blessings. Carl went to meet his heavenly father on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. To say that he will be missed is an understatement!

Carl left to cherish his memories: a loving, caring, and devoted mother ~ Sharon Crossland; his brother ~ David Tabb, Sr. (Marilyn); his sister ~ Sherion Crossland; his only nephew ~ David L. Tabb, Jr.; his two uncles ~ Antonio Shepard and Bishop David E. Tabb (Barnela); eight aunts ~ Brenda (Stanley Sr.) Jones, Virgie (Edward) Stafford, Linda (Lonnie Sr.) Bragg, Gwendolyn (Tyron) Erskin, Sharon (Tony Sr.) Johnson, Kimberly Tabb, Karen (Charles Sr.) Winston and T.T. Terry Burgess; eight more aunts and uncles ~ Kenny, Danny, Dewayne, William, Dwight, Brian, Adrian and Marnesha Keyes; and a host of other friends and relatives. Carl also leaves to cherish his memory a very special friend ~ Ms. Haley Hopkins (Romell, Jayli); his God-given aunt ~ Ms. Cassandra Dowell; and his favorite big cousin ~ Ms. Carolyn (Nelle) Burgess; and the only role model and father figure he valued ~ Curtis L. Johnson.
