Cassandra M.
Daniels-Bowdry
d. Mar 19, 2025
Cassandra Michelle Daniels was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with love, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and faith. Her journey on earth touched so many people, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born to Angela Daniels and Joseph "Jo Jo" Watson on February 7, 1979, Cassandra was a shining light from a young age. She had a natural gift for nurturing and protecting those she loved, especially her younger sister Rena. Her deep love for her family, friends, and community was evident in all that she did. She attended St. Louis Public Schools and, alongside her mother, proudly earned her GED in 1997.
At a young age, Cassandra became a devoted mother to her children, Chandra and Chanze. Her love for them was boundless, and they were the center of her world. In May 2005, Cassandra met Jason Bowdry, and together they created a loving family with the birth of their daughter, Chanyra "Chay" Bowdry. They married on August 31, 2012, and their bond was one of love and partnership. Cassandra's life with Jason, though brief, was filled with joy and devotion.
Faith was the foundation of Cassandra's life. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and remained steadfast in her commitment to Him. Her spirit of generosity and service to others was a testament to her deep belief and love for God. As a caregiver in the healthcare field, she was known for her kindness, work ethic, and the genuine relationships she built with her patients and colleagues over the course of 15 years at Christian Northeast Hospital.
Cassandra lived her life in accordance with the wisdom found in James 1:19: "Let every man be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man's anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." She embodied these words through her quiet nature, being an attentive listener who offered thoughtful words when she spoke. Cassandra was the rock of her family, always willing to take responsibility and provide care and support to those in need.
On Wednesday, March 20, Cassandra completed her earthly journey, and God called her home with the words, "Job well done; it's time to rest." She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace. Cassandra is survived by her children, Chandra Foster, Chanze Daniels-Darden, and Chanyra Daniels-Bowdry; her sister, Rena Dixon; her niece and nephew, Raegan and Elijah; and a special friend, Walter. Her extended family, including the Watson, Daniels, Dixon, Johnson, and Harris families, along with her many dear friends, will carry on her memory.
Though her time with us was far too short, Cassandra's love and light will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Mrs. Cassandra M. Daniels - Bowdry presence profoundly blessed her family, community, and friends. Her legacy, a testament to her remarkable life, will continue to inspire for generations. As you reflect on her life, may the memories you hold dear bring you solace. Her influence will forever be treasured.
